Taxiway E Extension and Rehabilitation North Apron

Taxiway E is a parallel taxiway on the north side of Runway 12R-30L. The existing portion of Taxiway E is located between Runway 4-22 and Taxiway D. This project will extend Taxiway E from Taxiway D to the end of Runway 30L. The project also includes one new connector taxiway to Runway 12R-30L, across the Runway from Taxiway C2. Taxiway C1 north of Runway 12R-30L will be demolished to remove the existing direct runway access. When complete, the extension of Taxiway E will alleviate heavy traffic by providing an alternate to Taxiway C, and will provide access to the existing North Apron and access to a proposed hangar facility west of the North Apron. Rehabilitation of the North Apron (asphalt pavement) will be included in this project. The project will include design associated with earthwork, grading, drainage, pavements, marking, airfield lighting and signage, and permitting.
